Hotel Association of Tarrant County Scholarship

Criteria for eligibility:

• Must be currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College.
• Must intend to pursue an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Hospitality Management OR
• Must intend to pursue a Certificate of Completion in Hospitality/Travel & Tourism, Meeting & Event Planning/Convention & Group Management or Restaurant Operations.
• Must attend the TCC Southeast Campus.
• Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.5 OR
• Must have a high school equivalent or a passing GED score if a first-time TCC student.
• Must enroll in a minimum of 9 credit hours for period of award.
• Must take a minimum of one course in the hospitality-related field or have been employed by a HATC member hotel for a minimum of six months before period of award.
• Preference given to applicants planning a career in travel, tourism or other hospitality related field.
• This is a merit-based scholarship and determination of financial need is not required.

Criteria for renewal:

• Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 2.5 is achieved and a minimum of 9 credit hours are completed in the fall.
