Marvin B. Loeb Sign Language Interpreting Scholarship

Criteria for eligibility:

  • Must be currently enrolled at Tarrant County College.
  • Must pursue studies in sign language interpreting and pursue interpreter certification upon completion of the degree.
  • Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 3.0 including a minimum GPA of 3.0 in sign language courses.
  • Must enroll in a minimum of 7 credit hours for the period of the award.
  • Must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours at TCC.
  • Must have successfully completed the first year in the Sign Language Interpreting, AAS program and be accepted into the second year of the program for the period of the award.
  • This is a merit-based scholarship and determination of financial need is not required.

Criteria for renewal:

  • Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 3.0 is achieved, including a minimum GPA of 3.0 in sign language interpreting courses, and a minimum of 7 credit hours are completed in the fall.
