Francis Kobty Hospitality Scholarship

Criteria for eligibility:

• Must be entering Tarrant County College attending the Southeast Campus.
• Must be pursuing one of the following degree/certification plans: an AAS in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management; or a Level 1 Certificate of Completion; or Level 2 Certificate of Completion.
• Must have a minimum college GPA of 2.5 or high school equivalent.
• Must enroll in a minimum of 9 credit hours (or full-time enrollment as defined by the recipient’s program) for period of award.
• Preference given to applicants that meet federal or state guidelines for financial need.
• Must be a graduate of an Arlington or Mansfield ISD high school.
• Must attend scholarship presentation event with Kobty family.

Criteria for renewal:

• Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 2.5 is achieved and a minimum of 9 credit hours (or full-time enrollment as defined by the recipient’s program) are completed in the fall.
