May Owen Nursing Scholarship

Criteria for eligibility:

• Must be currently enrolled at Tarrant County College.
• Must be admitted into the Associate of Applied Science Program in Nursing.
• Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 3.0 (3.25 or higher is desirable as this demonstrates superior aptitude and ability in the Nursing program).
• Must have completed a minimum of 36 credit hours, or half of the required hours for the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Degree.
• Must enroll in a minimum of 7 credit hours for period of award.
• Preference given to applicants with a history of volunteerism.
• This is a merit-based scholarship and determination of financial need is not required.

Criteria for renewal:

• Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 3.0 is achieved and a minimum of 8 credit hours are completed in the fall.
